Description of key information

The surface tension of the substance was studied according to OECD TG 115 and EU Method A.5. For this purpose, measurements were performed on aqueous solution of Tetrakis Hydroxymethyl phosphonium chloride oligomeric reaction products with urea and tetradecylamine at a concentration of about 1,05 g/L. The surface tension was determined to be 56,4 mN/m at 20.0 ± 0,5°C. Based on the criteria as outlined in the Guideline and the results of this study, Tetrakis Hydroxymethyl phosphonium chloride oligomeric reaction products with urea and tetradecylamine can be considered as a surface active substance.
