The findings from several studies including an O.E.C.D. Test Guideline 301 F study have demonstrated that Bisphenol A is "readily biodegradable" achieving > 60% biodegradation within a 5 - 7 day contact period. In one study with industrial wastewater sludge > 70% biodegradation of Bisphenol A was observed within a 24 hr contact period. These data suggest that 2 -Acetone polymer with phenol (BPA-Tars) will have a similar degree of biodegradation under similar experimental conditions.
