- Source: Eggs collected from ten different clutches in the same population from the wetlands approx 5 km from the city of Chambery (Southeastern France). Reared in the laboratory. Experiments performed with individuals at development stage 25 (Gosner, 1960).

Executive summary:

In a study designed to assess suitable solvents for use in toxicity testing using the amphibean Rana temporaria (common frog), ethanol was not found to cause any toxicity up to the maximum tested concentration of 0.1ml/litre (equivalent to 79mg/l).
