Description of key information

Abiotic degradation

As Pigment Yellow 12 and its strucutral analogues, the Diarylide Yellow Pigments, are highly insoluble in water, no studies on Abiotic degradation had been conducted. Therefore, no conclusion on abiotic degradation is possible from experimental data.

Biotic degradation

The Diarylide Yellow Pigments proved to be not readily biodegradable. As no further relevant information could be expected from additional testing, no other tests on biodegradability have been performed.
