Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

During the test according the Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.10. the solid substance could not be ignited by the ignition device. It can be expected, that this is also true for a N.1-test according the 'Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods; Manual of Tests and Criteria'. The substance reacts with water under formation of HCl and nitrogen oxid; both are no flammable gases. The substance has no pyrophoric properties. A test according the regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.9 showed, that no flash point exists below 200 °C.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the molcular structure and experience in handling and use, the substance was not classified and labelled as flammable, flammable in contact with water and pyrophoric according to Directive 67/548/EEC (DSD) and Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).
