Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study is available investigating the chronic toxicity of Erucamide (CAS 112-84-5) to Daphnia magna. The study was performed according to OECD 202 (1984) under semi-static conditions . Daphnids were exposed to a control, solvent control, and test substance at nominal concentrations of 33 and 100 µg/l. Chemical analysis of Erucamide indicated that concentrations of fresh solutions were on average 83.5% of nominal and of old solutions were on average 65.2% of nominal values. Thus, the effect concentrations were based on the measured concentrations. The evaluated endpoints were number of neonates per surviving adult, size of first brood, and time to release of first brood. Since no effects were observed on reproduction, the NOEC (21 d) was derived to be ≥ 80µg/L (measured concentration).
