Details on results:
Monitoring data from several freshwater lakes including Germany, Switzerland and Japan are available. Water samples were either analysed directly (unfiltered) or filtered (1 - 0.45 µm pore size) prior to analysis. Thus unfilterd samples reflect the whole substance concentrations (freely dissolved and particularly bound substance), whereas filtered samples reflect only the freely dissolved concentration of the substance in the water. The results from the filtered water samples were used as measured environmental concentration for the freshwater (MECfreshwater).
