Description of key information

There are two reliable studies that have investigated the effects of D5 on the liver and induction of liver enzymes (Dow Corning Corporation, 1989; WIL Research Laboratories, Inc, 1997). There are also two reliable studies into the effects of D5 on the release of prolactin (Dow Corning Corporation, 2010a, b).

Additional information

There are two reliable studies that showed that D5 induce the drug metabolizing enzymes in the liver microsomes in a manner similar to that of phenobarbital (Dow Corning Corporation, 1989; WIL Research Laboratories, Inc, 1997).

There are two reliable studies that investigated the potential effects of D5 on serum prolactin concentrations (Dow Corning Corporation, 2010a, b). These studies showed that inhaled D5 did not decrease prolactin concentrations in Fischer 344 rats.
