First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Keep patient warm and at rest. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash immidiately with soap and plenty of water. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Eye contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Consult physician.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Drink plenty of water as a precaution. Obtain medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide (CO2), water spray, alcohol-resistant foam.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet.

Special protective equipment: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus and splash-proof protective suit.

Special exposure hazards: None known.

Hazardous reactions: None known.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: See under Exposure controls/personal protection.

Environmental precautions: Do not discharge directly in waterways. Contact local authorities in case of significant spillages.

Clean-up methods: Contain spillage and collect as much as possible in a clean container for (preferably) reuse or disposal. Flush the spillage area with water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Ensure good ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. As with all chemicals, good industrial hygiene practices should be followed when handling this material.

Storage: Store at temperatures below 40 degrees C. Store in closed containers. Avoid moisture and contact with water during storage.
