Thermal sensitivity (effect of a flame)

The tests with 6,0mm diameter orifice plate showed the following trend:

-         after 153 seconds, flame event and rain of fire;

-         start of an intense phase characterized by ejection of the sample, rain fire and production of white smokes after 180 seconds;

-         the intense phase ends after about 290 seconds.

The tests with 2,0mm diameter orifice plate showed a behaviour similar to those with 6,0mm diameter orifice plate; a more intense production of smokes and a higher ejection rate of products was observed.

No explosion occurred during the six tests performed on the sample labelled asFatty acid, tall oil, reaction products with diethylenetriamine, maleic anhydride, tetraethylenepentamine and triethylenetramine.

The test result is considered negative.

Mechanical sensitivity (shock)

No explosion was obtained during the series of six tests at 40J performed on the sample labelled asFatty acid, tall oil, reaction products with diethylenetriamine, maleic anhydride, tetraethylenepentamine and triethylenetramine(bursting into flame and/or a report is equivalent to explosion).
