Additional information

This endpoint is fulfilled by a weight of evidence approach by QSAR estimation of the BCF and read across to an experimental result for a structurally similar compound, TXIB, that exhibited a BCF of 183 -194 (whole body wet weight) and 1.95 (whole body wet weight) based upon parent compound. TXIB has a higher log Kow and lower water solubility than isobutyric acid, monoester with 2,2,4 -trimethylpentane-1,3 -diol and therefore the read across is believed to be conservative for isobutryic acid, monoester with 2,2,4 -trimethylpentane-1,3 -diol.
