First-aid measures

Immediate medical assistance required: No

Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible).

Eye contact: In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible).

Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice.

Emergency Equipment: Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemicals, foam, water spray (mist).

Exposure hazards: High temperatures may liberate toxic or corrosive gases. Do not breathe smoke or vapours.

Protective equipment and precautions for firefighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes. Notify police and fire brigade. Wear suitable protective equipment. Wear suitable gloves and eye/face protection.

Environmental precautions: Prevent spilled substance from entering water supplies or water courses.

Methods for clean-up: Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. dry sand or earth), then place in a chemical waste container. Residue may be washed down with water. Shovel up residues and place in a labelled sealable container for subsequent safe disposal.

Handling and storage

Handling: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Use only in well ventilated areas.

Storage: Store in dry, cool area. Keep at temperatures between 15 and 30°C. In case of storage in bulk for periods above 1 month, it is recommended to store under Nitrogen.
