Description of key information

The 21 day-EC10 of the structurally related substance ortho-Toluenediamine, propoxylated in a OECD 211 guideline study is 2.5 mg/l (nominal) related to the endpoint reproduction (Currenta 2009)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10, LC10 or NOEC for freshwater invertebrates:
2.5 mg/L

Additional information

All NLP substances have full acute ecotoxicity datasets and do not exhibit acute toxicity below 100 mg/L. It can be seen that the NLPs are similar structurally, but may be broken up into three different functional categories - ones containing aromatics, and both those that have been ethoxy/propoxylated at either alcohol or amine groups. It appears a fair assumption to say that toxicity is expected to be similar between substances within each of these categories.
