Description of key information

(1) The substance is not readily biodegradable according the criteria for ready biodegradation of OECD 301 guideline.  However, the substance has the potential for ready biodegradability: Although the key study results obtained on day 28 show average ultimate biodegradation of 53 ± 8%, i.e., below the trigger of 60%, one of triplicate sample showed 61% of ultimate biodegradation on day 28, indicating ready biodegradation, according to the criteria of OECD 301.

(2) The substance is ultimately biodegradable within 60 days of OECD 301 F test design incubation since ultimately biodegradable within 60 days of OECD 301 F test design incubation since it reached 71 ± 11% (60-71-82%) on day 60. Since the corresponding trigger for enhanced biodegradation of 60% has been passed, the substance is considered not persistent in the environment.
