Description of key information

Additional information

EBTBP has high thermal and UV stability. It is the flame-retardant of choice in high impact polystyrene formulations where the highest degree of UV stability is required. Its thermal stability allows use in engineering resins like polyesters and polyamides. Its melting point is 456 degrees C. Thermogravimetric analysis (TA instruments, Model 2950, 10 degrees C/min under nitrogen) indicates 1% weight loss at 321 degres C, 5% weight loss at 407 degrees C, 10% weight loss at 424 degrees C, 50% weight loss at 455 degrees C, and 90% weight loss at >600 degrees C.
