Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Soluble in water

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
2 850 mg/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The water solubility of the substance was determined in a poorly documented study using the flask method. The solubility of 4-phenylbutan-2-one was 2850 mg/L. The test temperature was not given in the report and it is assumed here that this value represents the solubility in water at 20 °C. The measured value corresponds rather well with the modelled water solubility at 25 °C obtained with the WSKOWWIN program, which was 1625 mg/L.
