The viscosity of HCAT was determined using the capillary method in accordance with ASTM Method D445. The kinematic viscosity of HCAT at defined temperatures was determined as follows:

Viscosity (100°C) = 4.14 mm²/s (static)

Viscosity (75°C) = 8.29 mm²/s (static)

Viscosity (50°C) = 17.97 mm²/s (static)

Viscosity (25°C) = 52.00 mm²/s (static)

Viscosity (10°C) = 126.40 mm²/s (static)

In order to determine the viscosity at the key value for chemical safety assessment temperature (20°C), exponential regression was applied to the above data points (R-squared value = 0.98), producing the following equation:

y = 145.96e(-0.037x)

The resulting viscosity of HCAT at 20°C = 69.64
