Since it is not technically feasible to conduct an experimental bioconcentration study on this complex substance (UVBC), a calculation method was employed. Several calculations by Episuite were run to determine the BCF-value for some of the components of Oxooil LS9. The highest calculated BCF-value is for n-Octane.

The highest calculated BCF-value is for n-Octane: 1220 L/kg. Branched or unsaturated C8-hydrocarbons have lower BCF-values, and oxygenated molecules such as Isononanol or Isononanal have much lower BCF-values. Significant accumulation of Oxooil LS9 is not therefore expected. 

Although the components of Oxooil LS9 have BCFs ranging from 27.8 to 1220 L/kg with weighted mean of 326.5 L/kg, and Kow values ranging from 2.7 to 4.3 (weighted mean 4.17), and thus are considered to have the potential for bioaccumulation, their physico-chemical and environmental fate properties indicate that there would be limited environmental exposure because of high volatility, high photodegradation rate and limited solubility.
