First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Poisoning through inhalation is not envisaged.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash immediately with water, for at least 15 minutes. Seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and wash affected area

immediately with soap and water. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out the mouth and drink plenty of water. Seek medical

attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: CO2, dry chemical, and foam extinguishers may be used. The

containers should be cooled with a water spray.

Protective equipment: Protective eye goggles and gloves should be worn as well as

self contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Prevent the spill from spreading by using dykes, and absorb

the spill with earth, sand, sawdust or a similar material.

The solid waste should be disposed of according to local

regulations. Persons dealing with spills should wear

protective eye goggles and gloves.

Action should be taken to prevent the substance entering

drinking water sources.

Handling and storage

Handling: Eyes should be protected with chemical safety goggles and

plastic face shields. The hands and body should be protected

using cuffed butyl rubber gloves, apron and boots.

Local exhaust systems should be employed for ventilation.

Emergency eye baths and showers should be available.

Storage: Store in a cool, dark, dry and well ventilated area. Care

should be taken to avoid contact with open flames or other

sources of ignition. The substance should be packaged in

either 1 litre aluminium cans or 32 or 200 litre epoxy resin

coated drums.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 30 or 200 litre lacquered steel drums.
