Bioaccumulation: aquatic / sediment

No experimental results are available for 2,4,6 -triisopropyl-m-phenylene diisocyanate. Therefore, the bioconcentration factor (BCF) was determined by the computer program BCFBAFWIN v3.00 (EPIWIN software) by US-EPA (Chemservice S.A., 2011). The regression-based estimate (traditional method, based on the estimated logPow of 7.56) results in a BCF of 7065 L/kg wet-wt. Using the Arnot-Gobas method, which is based on the mechanistic first principles, the BCF results in a value of 5970 L/kg wet-wt. Therefore, a potential to bioaccumulate in biota cannot completely be excluded for the substance.
