This study does not need to be conducted as the test substance is hydrolytically unstable at pH 4, 7 and 9 (t ½ < 12 hr). In the present case the hydrolysis half-life of the test substance is < 10 minutes at 25 °C even at low pH [est. with HYDROWIN v2.00 (Epi Suite v4.1)].

As supporting information the water solubility of the substance 2,4,6 -triisopropyl-m-phenylene diisocyanate was determined by the computer program WSKOW v1.41 (EPIWIN software) by US-EPA (2011). As first step, the program calculates the octanol-water partition coefficient and predicts subsequently the water solubility of the chemical compound. If relevant, the software utilizes different correction factors in these predictions. For the chemical a water solubility of 0.005141 mg/L was calculated based on a estimated logPow of 7.56. No correction factors were presented. Due to this estimation the substance is regarded to be insoluble in water.
