Description of key information

Based on the guideline study (Goodband, 2010), the EC50(48h) of the test item was >100 mg/L for Daphnia magna. Results of this study are reliable without restrictions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50/LC50 for freshwater invertebrates:
100 mg/L

Additional information

The Klimisch 1, key study by Goodband and Mullee performed a limit test at 100 mg/L. This concentration was chosen after the performance of a range-finding test. Twenty daphnids (4 replicates of 5 animals) were exposed to this concentration and twenty other daphnids functioned as controls. No immobilisation at all was observed during the 48-hour test period. The test was considered valid.
