Description of key information

Based on the guideline study performed (Goodband et. al. 2010), the LC50 (96h) of the test item was >45 mg/L for Oncorhynchus mykiss. Results of this study are reliable without restrictions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

LC50 for freshwater fish:
45 mg/L

Additional information

The Klimisch 1, key study by Goodband and Mullee performed a limit test at 45 mg/L. This concentration is the ErC50 value from the algal inhibition test. Seven rainbow trouts were exposed to this concentration and seven other fish functioned as controls. No mortality at all was observed during the 96-hour test period. The test was considered valid.
