Description of key information

The density of the substance ‘Naphtha (petroleum), steam-cracked, C8-10 aromatic hydrocarbon fraction, alkylated and oligomerised’ (NAF-AO) (see Chapter 1) was determined at 20 °C with different samples of the substance. Values range from 1.0 to 1.092 g/cm³.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.1

Additional information

Five reliable tests with three different product types of NAF-AO as test material were conducted following a German test guideline (DIN 517547). Values determined were between 1.00 and 1.092 g/cm³. Manufacturer specification for the substance is a value between 1.0 and 1.1 g/cm³. The upper limit is used as key value for chemical safety assessment.
