First-aid measures

General advice:

Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing.

Immediately remove substance contaminated clothes and wash affected skin areas with soap and water.

Do not breathe vapors or spray mist.

Eye contact:

Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.

The below results are based on testing performed on representative samples of a mixture similar to this product.

Call a physician immediately.

Skin contact:

Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.

Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Ingestion:

Induce vomiting, but only if victim is fully conscious.

Clean mouth with water and afterwards drink plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Inhalation:

Move to fresh air in case of accidental inhalation of vapours.

If not breathing, give artificial respiration.

Protection of First-aiders:

Take appropriate steps to avoid fire, explosion and inhalation hazards.

Suitable Extinguishing Media:

Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Water spray.

Hazardous combustion products. Carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), oxides of nitrogen (NOx), dense black smoke.

Protective Equipment and Precautions for Firefighters:

Standard procedure for chemical fires. Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Evacuate area and fight fire from a safe distance.

Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.

Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes. Use personal protective equipment.

Environmental precautions;

Prevent product from entering drains. Do not allow material to contaminate ground water system.

Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. dry sand or earth), then place in a chemical waste container.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering Measures:

Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas.

Personal Protective Equipment:

- Eye Protection: Wear safety glasses or full face shield if splashes are likely to occur.

- Skin Protection: Long sleeved clothing

- Hand Protection: Neoprene gloves.

- Respiratory protection: No special protective equipment required.

  In case of mist, spray or aerosol exposure wear suitable personal respiratory protection and protective suit.

- Other Protective Equipment: Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.
