First-aid measures

General advice: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Call a physician immediately.

If inhaled: Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician.

Skin contact: In case of skin contact with powders or solution immediately rinse the areas affected continuously with water and then wash with soap

and water. Do NOT use solvents or thinners.

Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.

If swallowed: If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show  this container or label.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Any

Specific hazards during fire fighting: Fire may cause evolution of: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide (CO2)

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Further information: Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions: Use personal protective equipment.

Enviromental Precautions:  Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

Methods for cleaning or taking up: Contain spillage, and then collect with an electrically protected vacuum cleaner or by wet-brushing and place in container for disposal according to local regulations.

Further accidental release measures: Avoid dust formation.

Handling

Hygiene measures: Wash hands and face with alkaline soap before breaks and after handling the product. Use protective skin cream before handling

the product. Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area.

Advice on safe handling: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Measures must be taken to prevent dust explosion when processing in fine

crystalline form. Avoid dust formation.

Storage

Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Protect from light. Keep away from

heat.

Exposure controls / personal protection

This intermediate is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with the ECHA REACH Guidance on Intermediates.  Site documentation to demonstrate safe handling arrangements in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.

Hand protection: During the handling of the substance according to the intended use protection gloves from nitrile rubber have been proved. During the handling of pure solid substances or powder mixtures a permeation of the rubber material is not to be expected. In case of doubt, especially

during handling of the substance together with organic solvents, the stability of the protection gloves has to be clarified with the manufacturer.

Skin and body protection: Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
