Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
study well documented, meets generally accepted scientific principles, acceptable for assessment
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: VP 2/A
Deviations:
not specified
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Investigations by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) provide information on the thermal behavior of substances. Samples of the test substance and of a reference material are subjected to the same controlled temperature programme; they are heated in an oven at a constant heating rate, and the temperatur is measured in two containers. The difference in energy input necessary to maintain identical temperatures between the substance and the reference material is recorded. When the sample undergoes a phase transition, the corresponding change of enthalpy gives a departure form the base line of the heat flow record.
The DSC is mainly used as screening method for thermal stability analysis to determine the beginning of decomposition (onset temperature) and the heat of decomposition.

Conclusions:
boiling point = 305.07 °C at 99.8 kPa
boiling point corrected to standard pressure (101.325 kPa) = 305.8 °C
Executive summary:

The boiling point of the test substance was determined to be 305.07 °C at 99.8 kPa by using differential scanning calorimetry (2012, non-GLP); the boiling point corrected to standard pressure (101.325 kPa) is 305.8 °C.
