Description of key information
No inhibition of respiration rate of non-adapted activated sludge was observed at 20 mg/L of n-butyl-4,4 -bis(tert-butylperoxy)valerate according to OECD 209 guideline.

The acute toxicity of n-butyl-4,4 -bis(tert-butylperoxy)valerate was tested using OECD guideline 209 under GLP conditions (L'Haridon, 2000). No toxic effects were observed at the highest tested concentration of 20mg/L nominal which means that 3h-EC10 and EC50 are > 20 mg/L.
