Description of key information

The registered substance is readily biodegradable (89% biodegradation after 28 days, within the 10-d window in the OECD Guideline 301F key study) and no transformation product is observed at the end of the 28-d test period. Therefore, the registered substance and the potential transformation product(s) are not considered persistent in the environment.

Then, for highly hydrophobic substances, like the registered substance with a log Kow > 6, experimentally derived BCF values tend to decrease with increasing log Kow. This was confirmed with predicted BCF values, all comprised between 0.94 and 9.42 L/kg. The registered substance is not considered bioaccumulable according to CLP (BCF < 500) and PBT criteria (BCF < 2000).

Finally, with an experimental log Koc value greater than 5.63 (OECD Guideline 121 key study), the registered substance is considered immobile in soils according to P.J. McCall et al., 1980.
