The registration substance is a liquid at room temperature; classification for flammability (flammability of liquids) is therefore based on the measurement of flash point and boiling point. Measurement of flammability of solids is not applicable to this substance.

A determination of flammability of solids is not applicable to SIB138 as the substance is a liquid at room temperature. Classification will is determined on the basis of flash point and boiling point (refer also to IUCLID sections 4.3 and 4.11).
Justification for classification or non-classification
In accordance with section 2.6 of Annex I of the CLP Regulatoin (Regulation (EC) 1272/2008) a liquid substance will be classified flammable liquid if it has a flash point not more than 60°C. The flash point of SIBE138 was determined to be 154°C; on this basis it is concluded that SIBE138 should not be classified as a flammable liquid.
