Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A PNEC sediment is derived using the EP method and results in a PNEC sediment of 8.15 mg/kg dw. A PNEC sediment is based on all long-term aquatic toxicity information from 3 trophic levels. This value is more reliable and more conservative then deriving a PNEC sediment from testing with sediment organisms, because the concentrations in the aquatic compartment can be maintained while this is more complex in a sediment toxicity test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC10, LC10 or NOEC for freshwater sediment:
8.15 mg/kg sediment dw
