Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Treat symptomatically. Get medical
attention if symptoms occur.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Get medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical
attention if symptoms occur. Wash contaminated clothing
before re-use. Destroy or thoroughly clean contaminated
shoes.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Only induce vomiting at the instruction of medical
personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person. Call a physician or poison control center
immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbon dioxide, dry chemical
Product arising from burning: Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective
clothing.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Shovel into suitable container for disposal. Avoid dust
formation. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.
Handling and storage
Handling: Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with eyes, skin,
clothing. Use with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly
after handling.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed. Keep away from strong
oxidizing agents and strong bases.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance will be imported into the Chalon company plant
sites in sealed, poly-lined fiber containers.

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Stable under normal conditions.
Chemical reaction with water: Experience in use and structure activity relationships
indicate that the test substance is not hazardous in contact
with air, humid air or with water.
Dust explosion: There are no data or experience indicating this substance
presents a dust explosion hazard; however no testing has
been conducted to characterize its dust explosibility
properties. Fines of this substance, like those of many
organic dusts, may be capable of forming explosible dust
clouds in air. Minimize dust generation and accumulation.
Keep away from sources of ignition. Use adequate ventilatio
n.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: It is not practical to recover or recycle the substance.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: It is not practical to neutralize the substance.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: A temperature of 1000 degrees C is expected to destroy the
substance. Combustion will produce carbon oxides, nitrogen
oxides.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: This substance is a starting material needed for the
manufacture of another chemical. Therefore, there is no
potential exposure to the public at large.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: None
