Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Koc (soil): 3678 ÷ 4056 L/Kg

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Koc at 20 °C:
3 867

Additional information

The Soil Adsorption Coefficients (Koc) of methylcyclopentadiene dimer were predicted to be:

3678 ÷ 4056 L/Kg adopting the MCI method

4157 ÷ 4976 L/Kg adopting the log Kow method

Overall, the MCI methodology is somewhat more accurate than the Log Kow methodology, then the key value for CSA was selected as mean value of MCI results.

According to the McCall classification scheme, this means that the above substance has low mobility (2000 < Koc < 5000) on soil.
