Summarizing the environmental fate and pathways of dimethyl propylphosphonate the following information were determined:

- dimethyl propylphosphonate is hydrolytically stable under environmentally relevant conditions

- dimethyl propylphosphonate is not readily biodegradable

- a low potential of bioaccumulation is expected

- a low potential to adsorb to soil or sediment is expected (calculated log Koc= 1.286)

- a low volatility from water is expected (calculated Henry´s Law Constant: HLC= 0.223 Pa m3/mol)
