Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
The substance is water soluble and considered potentially irritant to skin and eyes
If on skin, wash with plenty of water.
If in eyes rinse with plenty of water. If discomfort persists, seek medical advice.
General advise for medical personnel : treat local irritation symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
No special precautions
Accidental release measures
Small spills (< 1 kg) sweep up and collect into suitable containers for disposal. Rinse area with water, avoiding run-off into water courses.
Large spills (> 1 kg) collect into suitable container and dispose of as hazardous chemical waste. Keep non-essential staff away from spill and wear personal protective equipment including skin and eye protection. Avoid generation of dust and ensure good level of ventilation (3 - 5 exchanges per hour). Rinse area with water and unless connected to foul drains, collect run-off for chemical waste disposal.
Handling and storage
Avoid generation of dust. Otherwise no specific engineering controls for handling.
No specifc storage requirements.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Eye protection needed
If in poorly ventilated area (< 3 - 5 air exchanges) dust mask recommended
Coveralls and gloves suitable for organic solids need to be worn.
Stability and reactivity
Not considered reactive
Stable under normal conditions
Disposal considerations
No specific precautions, but unused material and packaging should be disposed of as low-hazard environmental waste.
