Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. In case of breathing difficulties, seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical
advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. remove
contaminated clothing. If symptoms occur, call a physician.
Wash contaminated clothing before reuse and dispose of
contaminated shoes.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbon dioxide, dry chemical, alcohol-resistant
foam, universal-type foam
Product arising from burning: Carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear full protective clothing, including
helmet,self-contained, positive pressure or pressure demand
breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Contain spill. Evacuate unprotected personnel from hazard
area. Cover with absorbent material. Cover spill area with
Light Water Brand or other ATC foam. Collect using
non-sparking tools. Clean up residue with appropriate
organic solvents. Read and follow safety precautions on the
solvent label and MSDS. Place in an approved metal
container. Seal the container.
Handling and storage
Handling: When handling the preparation prior to incorporation into
printing plates:
Vented goggles, or a full face shield, and gloves should be
worn when handling the preparation. Appropriate local
exhaust ventilation should be maintained. If ventilation is
not adequate, then appropriate respiratory protection should
be worn. Maintain temperature 23 °C to 32 °C.
Storage: The preparation should be stored indoors, in
polyethylene/glass containers.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The preparations containing the substance are packaged in
polyethylene or glass.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance is unlikely to be recoverable after it becomes
part of a printing plate. In the event that the preparation
is spilled, it should be swept up and collected.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Substance does not have to be neutralised.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Dispose of in an approved chemical landfill, as allowed by
current laws and regulations.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Dispose of in an approved chemical incinerator as allowed by
current laws and regulations.
