Description of key information
The most conservative and reliable values found for this endpoint have been considered within a weight of evidence approach. The calculated BCF of primary alkylamines and phosphoric acid, octadecyl ester are far below the bioaccumulation criteria of 2000 listed in Annex XIII to the REACH Regulation. Information about the bioaccumulation of both part of the salt are available, showing that it can be considered as not bioccumulable.

Alkyl phosphate and stearyl amine salts (EC = 952-252-4) are mainly composed by primary alkylamines (CAS 90640-32-7, UVCB) and Phosphoric acid, octadecyl ester (CAS 39471-52-8, Multi-Constituant).
Information about the bioaccumulation of both elements is available, showing that the salt can be considered as not bioaccumulable.
The Weight of evidence approach (WoE) has to be applied as non of the tests or modelling results in itself can deliver a fully conclusive answer to bioconcentration and bioaccumulation potential of Primary alkyl amines. C16 amine has been used a model compound for the Primary alkyl amines. Therefore it is proposed to use for the Primary alkyl amines a BCF of 173 L/kg as estimated by the ADME Model of Arnot & Gobas (2003) on basis of a Weight of Evidence.
Regarding the Phosphoric acid, octadecyl ester (CAS 39471-52-8, Multi-Constituant), the bioaccumulation potential was calculated by QSAR based upon the main constituents. The highest BCF value was used to represent the bioaccumulation potential of the multi-constituent substance. The worst case constituent is the hexadecyl dihydrogen phosphate with a bioaccumulation factor estimated to be BCF = 443 L/kg whole body ww.
The calculated BCF of both part of the Alkyl phosphate and stearyl amine salts (EC = 952-252-4) are far below the bioaccumulation criteria of 2000 listed in Annex XIII to the REACH Regulation.
Moreover as a screening approach, both values of log Kow are below the REACh B/vB cut-off criterion (log Kow = 4.5) regarding both part of the Alkyl phosphate and stearyl amine salts (EC = 952-252-4) (according REACH guidance document R11 Version 3.0 – June 2017). For primary alkylamines (CAS 90640-32-7), a weight of evidence has been performed and the highest and worst-case key value is log Kow = 4.33. The Phosphoric acid, octadecyl ester (CAS 39471-52-8) has a log Kow = 2.31 at 20 °C according an OECD 117 study.
Therefore, no further study on BCF/BMF is needed for the registered substance, Alkyl phosphate and stearyl amine salts.
