Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No toxicity test with cyclohexylidenebis[tert-amyl] peroxide is available for micro-organisms. These data are thus read-across from a study performed with cyclohexylidenebis[tert-butyl] peroxide.

The 3-hour EC10 and the 3-hour EC50 of the test substance cyclohexylidenebis[tert-butyl]peroxide were determined to be > 20 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for microorganisms:
20 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for microorganisms:
20 mg/L

Additional information

No toxicity test with cyclohexylidenebis[tert-amyl] peroxide is available for micro-organisms. These data are read-across from a study obtained with cyclohexylidenebis[tert-butyl]peroxide.

The acute toxicity of cyclohexylidenebis[tert-butyl]peroxide on micro-organisms present in activated sludge was evaluated using a 3 -hour static test according to OECD guideline no. 209. Three test solutions (2, 10 and 20 mg/L) were tested. The respiration rate of the test solution at the highest concentration (20 mg/L) was equivalent to the respiration rate of the first control. Therefore, the oxygen consumption rate of the two other test solutions was not determined. The 3-hour EC10 and the 3-hour EC50 of the test substance cyclohexylidenebis[tert-butyl]peroxide were determined to be > 20 mg/L.
