Description of key information
Appearance:
The physical appearance of 1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene was observed to be dark yellow coloured an organic liquid compound.
Freezing point:
Freezing point of chemical 1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene was determined to be 5 degree celcius.
Boiling point:
The boiling point of chemilcal 1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene was determined to be 166-168 degree C at 6.0 mm Hg pressure.
Density:
Based on prediction done using ACD/I-Lab 2.0,the density of chemical :1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene was estimated to be 1.175 ± 0.06 g/cm3
Particle size distribution:
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is marketed or used in a non solid or granular form.
Vapour pressure:
Modified Grain method (Mean of Antoine and Modified Grain methods) was used to estimate the vapour pressure of the chemical1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzeneusing MPBPVP v1.43 of EPI SUITE.
The estimated vapour pressure of the chemical1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzeneat 25deg C was0.00996 Pa
Partition Coefficient:
The octanol water partition coefficient of test chemical 1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene ( CAS no. 3312 -04 -7) is 5.79 by this value this chemical is considered hydrophobic in nature.
Water solubility:
WSKOW v1.42 was used to estimate the water solubility of the chemical1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene
The estimated water solubility of the1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzeneat 25 deg C was 0.1813 mg/l
Based on the estimated value, the test substance was slightly in water.
Surface tension:
Based on the prediction done using ACD labs ,the surface tension of chemical 1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene was predicted to be 36.9 ± 3.0 dyne/cm
Flash point:
The flash point of chemical 1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene was estimated to be 205.3 ± 21.3 degree C
Auto flammability:
1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°Cpressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that 1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene is not auto-flammable.
flammability:
1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene does not indicate any ignition when the flame of bunsen burner having temperature of approximately 950°C is brought in contact with it. Thus it can be concluded that 1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene is not flammable at high temperature. However since such high temperatures are not found under normal circumstances of transportation and use, thus 1-[4-chloro-1-(4-fluorophenyl)butyl]-4-fluorobenzene was considered non-flammable for chemical safety assessment.
Explosiveness:
The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties
Oxidising properties:
The study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance contains oxygen or halogen atoms which are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
