Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Genetic toxicity in vitro

Description of key information

Ames test (OECD 471): negative in S. typhimurium TA 1535, TA 1537, TA 98 and TA 100 and E. coli WP2 uvrA with and without metabolic activation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (negative)

Additional information

A bacterial gene mutation assay with the test substance was performed in accordance with OECD Guideline 471 and in compliance with GLP (2016). In this study the test substance was not mutagenic in any of the five strains (TA 1535, TA 1537, TA 98, TA 100 and WP2 uvrA) tested with and without metabolic activation.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the available data, there is no indication that the test substance induces genetic toxicity in bacteria. Nevertheless, no final decision on classification for genetic toxicity according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 can be made, as no information on chromosomal aberration and mutagenicity in mammalian cells/in vivo is available.
