Additional information

The substance is only slightly soluble in blood and tissue as evidenced by the partition coefficients of 1.69 for blood:air, 1.69 for liver:air, 5.63 for fat:air, and 1.47 for muscle:air. The substance would be poorly taken up into the blood following inhalation, and would not tend to accumulate in organs or tissues. The substance that is absorbed will be eliminated primarily by exhalation, without biotransformation or degradation. The small amount of substance that is metabolized proceeds through an oxidative route starting with the carbon-hydrogen bond on the -CHF2 carbon. The likely end-product of metabolism is acetic acid. The metabolism pathway is slow and was demonstrated to saturate at 75000 ppm.
