Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
not specified
Conclusions:
The LC50 (48 hours) was determined as 9.4 mg/L indicating that the test substance may be toxic to fish.
Executive summary:

The acute toxicity of 1,5 -cyclooctadiene on Leuciscus idus was tested in a semi-static 48h-test by Hüls AG (1995) according to DIN 38412, part 15. Five concentrations ranging from 6.0 to 16.0 mg/L were tested. The following endpoint was derived:

LC50 (48 hours):       9.4 mg/L (CL: 6.4 -13.4 mg/L)

The study was assessed as "reliable with restriction".
