Description of key information

The vapour pressure of propargyl alcohol is determined to be 10.84 hPa at 20°C, 15.15 hPa at 25 °C and 66.32 hPa at 50 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
10.84 hPa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

Two studies were conducted. The vapour pressure of propargylalcohol was determined to be in the same range. One study determined the vapour pressure to be 10.84 hPa at 20°C and another study determined the vapour pressure to be 11.29 hPa at 20 °C. Also a literature review was conducted. HSDB reports the the vapour pressure to be 15.47 hPa at 20 °C and the GESTIS database reports the vapour pressure to be 10.8 hPa at 20 °C. The studies and the literature sources reports the vapour pressure of propargyl alcohol to be in the same range. The value from the recent study which is 10.84 hPa at 20 °C was chosen as key value.
