Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
Monochloracetone was very toxic to fish under the reported conditions of the test.
Executive summary:

The acute toxicity of monochloroacetone to fish (Leuciscus idus) was tested in a semi-static test according to DIN 38412, Teil 15 Juni 1982. The fish were exposed to the substance in a nominal concentration range from 0.1 mg/L to 1.6 mg/L for 48 hours. The measured concentrations did not drop below 80% of the nominal values. No mortalities occured during the test in the control. The 48 -hour LC50 was 0.6 mg/L.
