Additional information

In accordance with Column 2 adaptation statement of REACH Annex IX, simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. Dimethylacetamide is readily biodegradable without fulfilling the 10 -day window criterion (Biffi, 1995, as cited in OECD SIDS 2004). After 28 days it reaches the pass level of the respective ready test. Hence the substance is clearly not persistent in the environment. It can be assumed that further testing won't change the assessment of the substance. Hence, no further tests on biodegradation are performed.
