Additional information

There are no proprietary studies investigating the Environmental Fate of the substance, however there is an extensive array of published information on the fate of chromium species in the environment and this information is collated and reviewed in detail in the EU RAR document. The behaviour of chromium species in the environment can be influenced by environmental factors such as pH and water hardness. Irrespective of the form that chromium is introduced into the environment, the actual species present vary according to various reversible equilibria which are driven according to the local conditions (e.g. pH, presence of reducing or oxidising components).
