Degradation in water:

According to test results the test substance can be declared as readily biodegradable in freshwater and marine water. As the substance is readily biodegradable, no further tests on biodegradation in surface water or sediment are performed. These endpoints can be waived.

Degradation in soil:

The degradation of dimethylamine was monitored in a comprehensive field test.

It can be concluded that in agricultural soils there will be rapid metabolism of dimethylamine resulting from application of herbicide formulations with no likelihood of any buildup of residues.
