The 2007-05-29 in the Official Journal of the European Union published Corrigendum to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European parliament and of the council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Annex VIII, 9.3.1, p L136/110 column 2 states that the study does not need to be conducted if based on the physicochemical properties the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (e.g. the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient), which is the case. Moreover, the substance decomposes rapidly because it is readily biodegradable.
