Conclusion on classification

Aquatic algae were found to be the most sensitive aquatic species.The acute aquatic toxicity (based on the lowest of the available toxicity values) is EC50 (72h, growth rate) = 0.022 mg/L, the substance is not readily biodegradable, though low potential for bioaccumulation. Diuron is classified according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 as Acute and Chronic Category 1. The M-factor of 10 is assigned according to Table 4.1.3 Annex I Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
