No experimental data are available for the assessment of the bioaccumulation potential of methylvinylether (CAS 107-25-5). In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX section 9.3.2, a study does not need to be conducted if the substance has a log Kow less or equal than 3. Methylvinylether (CAS 107-25-5) has a measured log Kow of 0.42 (Yaws, C., 2014; Physprop database, 2014).
Based on the substance’s low n-octanol/water partition coefficient, accumulation in organisms is not to be expected. Therefore, and for reasons of animal welfare, a study on bioaccumulation is not provided.
